Stewards of one of the rarest ecosystems on Earth, the Everglades will descend on The Breakers for the Everglades Foundation’s ninth annual ForEverglades Benefit on February 15. Celebrities, socialites, dignitaries and a veritable whose who of Palm Beachers will be on hand to help raise funds and awareness for this fragile and exquisite environment. And with Katie Couric acting as host, Michael Keaton as honorary chair and the Zac Brown Band as the evening’s entertainment, 2014’s ForEverglades party is sure to be one for the books.
This year, the foundation has enacted a new twist on the silent auction. Instead of paper, email will be used to make bids. Five extraordinary trips are up for grabs, with bidding running from February 8-15. Bidders simply email their offer—or can purchase a lot then and there. Entrants will be notified February 16 whether they won.
The auction trips are some of the wildest expeditions we’ve ever seen up for grabs. Click on to page two for a rundown of what the Everglades Foundation has in store for five lucky winners.
- Tickets for ForEverglades begin at $1,000, with proceeds going directly to support the Everglades Foundation’s critical science and education programs.
