From the Tweet Seats: The Tales of Hoffmann

The end of Palm Beach Opera‘s 2014 main-stage season is upon us, and, boy, does it go out with a bang. Palm Beach Illustrated attended and live tweeted from the final dress rehearsal of The Tales of Hoffmann, a romantic comedy of an opera by Jacques Offenbach. Sung in French and comprised of a prologue, three acts and an epilogue, The Tales of Hoffmann weaves together three narratives of the poet Hoffmann’s unsuccessful ventures in love. This is a long one—clocking in at over three hours—but the time flies by thanks to the hilarious songs and physical comedy as well as the dynamic sets, music and emotions. Check out a selection of our tweets below for a better feel for the opera.
