Gotta Dance

Calling all dancers! Paris Ballet and Dance, a prestigious dance school based in Jupiter, has unveiled a new chapter in its mission to provide local dancers with the best training possible.

Founded in 2009 by Jean-Hugues Feray, Paris Ballet and Dance teaches classical ballet technique through a well-rounded curriculum that includes modern, contemporary, jazz, and tap. In addition, the school is one of only three facilities in Florida to be part of the Joffrey Ballet School Outreach and Collaboration Program, a unique educational offering that allows students to take part in master classes taught by instructors from Chicago’s elite Joffrey Ballet.

To further aid in the formation of tomorrow’s top dancers, Paris Ballet and Dance has created the Paris Ballet Conservatory. This program is designed to propel gifted dance students toward a professional career through advanced classes taught by renowned educators, including dancers and teachers from the Paris Opera Ballet. The daytime-only courses are designed for virtual and home-schooled students and include divisions for dancers ages 11 to 13 and ages 14 and above. Students in the program will also perform and tour, with the overall goal of contributing to Palm Beach County’s evolving arts scene.

Given the elite nature of the Paris Ballet Conservatory, the admission process is by audition only. Auditions for fall 2015 classes will take place on Wednesday, June 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Paris Ballet and Dance. For more information visit parisballetdance.com or call 561-308-8377.
