Looking for another reason to pour a drink this month? September just happens to be National Bourbon Heritage Month, meaning it’s the perfect time to savor this all-American spirit.
1000 North in Jupiter is commemorating National Bourbon Heritage Month with unique food-and-bourbon pairings. The pecan-crusted goat cheese (made with pork cracklings, arugula, and a green-tomato chow chow) pairs nicely with the High West American Prairie or the 1792 Small Batch.
Another match made in heaven is 1000 North’s sweat tea–brined, double-cut pork chop (served with a peach glaze and pimento cheese–infused grits) and the seven-year-aged, single-barrel Baker’s Bourbon or the fuller-bodied Woodford Reserve Double Oak.
Nestled along the Intracoastal, with the lighthouse as its backdrop, 1000 North offers a picturesque setting any time of day. It is open for dinner daily, lunch Fridays and Saturdays, and brunch on Sundays.
