Many Palm Beach County organizations are hosting spooktacular events throughout October, and three in particular will leave you screaming with glee.
Get in the Halloween spirit with any of these events. |
First up on October 10, the Historical Society of Palm Beach County (561-832-4164) hosts its annual Scarecrow Festival, which pokes fun at the Halloween icon with scarecrow competitions, haystack hunts, pumpkin decorating, and a pie-eating contest.
Afterward, grab a mask, broom, or bed sheet and head over to the Palm Beach Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo (561-547-9453). On October 23-25 and 30-31, there will be plenty of fun for little Halloweeners, including costume contests, dance parties, and wildlife shows.
Finally, turn tricks into treats at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium’s (561-832-1988) Spooky Science Nights at the Museum on October 30.
Kids will have a scary good time making their way through the slithery maze of oozing pumpkins, smoking bubbles, and creepy crawlers. (561-832-4164, historicalsocietypbc.org; 561-547-9453, palmbeachzoo.org; 561-832-1988, sfsciencecenter.org)
