Dr. Kishore Dass is a board-certified radiation oncologist with 21st Century Oncology. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University and completed his residency in
radiation oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Losing his grandmother to cancer while growing up in Burma prompted him to study oncology to prevent other children from losing loved ones.
Dass was instrumental in developing stereotactic radiosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic and augmented his studies with extensive work at the National Cancer Institute, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the University of Pennsylvania.
Since 1993, Dr. Dass has performed more than 5,000 radioactive seed implants to treat prostate cancer. More than 80 percent of those patients have no evidence of cancer following treatment.
“Having practiced for over 25 years, and watching the new innovations and new treatment modalities increase our survival rates is extremely rewarding,” says Dr. Dass. “After all these years, I walk into work and it feels like my first day on the job. I feel the same enthusiasm and desire to meet the next patient and help them beat this dreadful disease.”
