Loggerhead Marinelife Center to Host Coastal Classrooms

The center will offer students a safe place to complete their virtual learning and fun conservation-focused activities beginning Monday, August 31

To help students ages eight and older ease into the School District of Palm Beach County’s virtual learning curriculum, Loggerhead Marinelife Center will host weekly Coastal Classrooms beginning on Monday, August 31, to serve as safe in-person virtual learning spaces for students. Students are invited to complete their virtual classwork during the distance learning phase of the the district’s reopening plans in weekly sessions through Friday, October 2. 

The center’s Coastal Classroom will provide each student with a learning space, WiFi connection, technical support, and activities for a fun nature-inspired reprieve from classwork. Registration for members begins at $125 and $140 for non-members. The classroom will be open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Extended hours from 2 to 5:30 p.m. are available for an additional cost.
