Loggerhead Marinelife Center‘s Seventh Annual Lights Out Gala, set for February 28, is a celebration of the start of sea turtle nesting season, when residents along the ocean are asked to turn out their bright lights to protect nesting sea turtles and sea turtle hatchlings. This year’s theme is “Ride the Wave of Conservation.” The event will be held adjacent to the beach as guests enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner and dancing under the stars in an ocean-side setting starting at 6:30 p.m. Event co-chairmen are Alice Waxman and Dawn Hoffman.
