At age eighteen, Wilkinson apprenticed under the great American design icon, Tony Duquette. Wilkinson worked for Duquette as a volunteer apprentice for two years and then as a paid assistant designer for three years before starting his own interior design firm. Wilkinson continued his professional association with Duquette, collaborating with the great designer on myriad projects over the next 25 years.

In 1994, Wilkinson and Duquette officially became business partners, with Wilkinson purchasing half of Tony Duquette Studios, Inc., as well as the international trademarks to the name. The following year, the duo launched a collection of one-of-a-kind, fine jewelry collection with Bergdorf Goodman. Since the launch of this new enterprise, Wilkinson has devoted much of his time to the design of these unique jeweled creations under the Tony Duquette trademark. These jewels have been used by designers such as as Tom Ford, Gucci, Oscar de la Renta, Balmain, Badgley Mischka, and Andrew Gn.

After Duquette’s passing in 1999, Wilkinson took over as owner, creative director, and president of Tony Duquette Studios, Inc., where he continues to design his fine jewelry, as well as textiles for Jim Thompson Thai Silk, custom lighting products for Remains Lighting, carpets for Patterson, Flynn and Martin, furniture and accessories for Maitland-Smith, upholstery for Pearson, tabletop accessories for Mottahedeh, and interior decorations under the registered international trademark, “Tony Duquette” and Tony Duquette Inc.

Wilkinson’s unique Tony Duquette jewelry collection is nothing short of iconic, and is exclusively available at Marissa Collections and Pebble Beach. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the designer and explore one-of-a-kind pieces. Wilkinson, who has co-authored and authored five books since 2007, will also host a book signing on March 25.
