Mazes at the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium

The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is taking guests on a twisting and turning brainteaser adventure with the latest traveling exhibit to take up shop, Mazes. On display from May 3 through September 14, Mazes is a collection of more than 60 interactive stations that put the guests in the driver seat as they meander through mazes, solve 3-D puzzles and play full-body games.

Build Your Own Maze - Mazes at the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium

Taking over the 9,000-square-foot traveling exhibit space, Mazes, created by Minotaur Mazes, is an all-ages immersive exhibit, pulling on visual, sound and tactile cues that put the brain and the imagination to work as guests utilize problem-solving skills to make it through to the end. Mazes - traveling exhibit at the South Florida Science Center & AqauriumBuild-your-own mazes, web-mazes (constructed with ropes), the Puzzle and Color mazes, finger mazes and more each tap into a different challenge, creating a unique learning tool for guests to complete. And while each station offers its own adventure, some tap into life sciences too, with lifecycle story lines tied into the maze—children not only see what, why and how certain animals like chimpanzees, sea turtles, salmon and bears act from birth/hatching, but follow in their footsteps/swim trails on specially designed mazes, immersing the child with role-playing activities, creating a unique learning opportunity that not only builds their knowledge, but instill a sense of empathy for these creatures.

  • During Mazes, admission to the Science Center is $14 for adults, $10.50 for children ages 3 to 12, and $12.50 for seniors over the age of 62. Members are free.
