Melissa McKinlay | Palm Beach Beauty

Melissa McKinlay - Palm Beach BeautyMelissa McKinlay |  Palm Beach County Commissioner, District 6

Melissa McKinlay has made a career of putting others first. A former aide in the Florida offices of Democratic United States Senator Bill Nelson, McKinlay now represents District 6 on the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, continuing her advocacy for children, victims of sexual assault, and the environment. She is a founding member of the Palm Beach County Sexual Assault Response Team and helped develop the Butterfly House, the county’s first sexual assault response medical services center.

A single mother of three high school-aged children, McKinlay is constantly on the go, from volunteering at school events to watching her son’s Friday night football games. And as if her job and her family weren’t enough to keep her busy, McKinlay has continued to volunteer for the Junior League of the Palm Beaches and serve on the board of the Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization, the 16-county Coalition for the Responsible Management of Lake Okeechobee, and the South Florida Fair Board of Trustees.
