Retail therapy is a full-time gig for Michele Jacobs. As corporate director of marketing and operations at The Forbes Company, Jacobs oversees functions related to the company’s portfolio, including facilities management, guest services, advertising and marketing, security, and special events as well as corporate responsibilities supporting leasing and branding at some of the most prestigious shopping destinations in Florida: The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, and Waterside Shops in Naples. Before signing on with Forbes in 2007, Jacobs was vice president and general manager of Saks Fifth Avenue at The Gardens Mall.
A native Floridian, Jacobs holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Florida and resides in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and son. And while her job may hold heavy responsibility, Jacobs still finds time to give back to the community, participating in Easter Seals, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and The Honda Classic, among other organizations.
