New View: The Armory Art Center

Being an artist is an eternal learning process. The Armory Art Center’s highly competitive Artist in Residence Program fosters talented artists through an eight-month program that gives each resident the opportunity to learn through workshops and hands-on teaching experiences. At the close of the program, the artists display the works produced during their tenure in a public viewing.

From March 29 through May 3, view the metalsmithing and jewelry design of Lisa Johnson, ceramics by Jessica Brandl and Josh Stover, Maggie Finlayson’s collection of iron, wood and bone sculptures, and traditional Japanese paintings by Hiromi Katayama.

  • The Artist-in-Residence Exhibition will run March 29-May 3.
  • All Armory exhibitions are free and open to the public.
