With one of the best views in town, the Oceanside Farmers Market is one of the best shopping excursions in town. Located Old Bridge Park in Lake Worth (northwest corner of Lake Ave. and A1A) from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. every Saturday, beginning November 1, 2014 through April 25, 2015, the collection of vendors on hand makes this a great place to shop, eat and just hang out.
From locally grown organic produce, herbs and even spices, to a growing selection of garden plants, the emphasis at this farmer’s market is on local—local farmers, local growers, local artisans, local crafters. Dubbed Canal St. South, the Lake Worth Farmers Market is quickly becoming the destination for local artists, artisans and craftspeople to show off their wares. These markets have become a vital part of local communities, a hotbed of commerce and the jumping off point for small businesses to gain a following, helping them transition to success by giving them a place to present.
Offerings: Local organic and non-organic vegetables and fruits, herbs, spices, flowers (fresh cut and potted), orchids and bromeliads, tropical, exotic, native, potted and ornamental plants, oils and vinegars, fresh seafood, cured and smoked meats, baked goods including fresh breads, pastries, cookies, pies, local and imported cheeses, prepared foods including pastas, sauces, soups, processed foods including jams, jellies, relishes, dressings, arts and crafts.
Extra: The paddling along the Lake Worth Lagoon, just off the location of the Oceanside Farmers Market is top notch. Find out more about where to go and how to score a kayak, delivered right to you, here.
