“The Art of Dr. Seuss” exhibition, in conjunction with the Ann Jackson Gallery of Atlanta, is a first of its kind for Florida, featuring the authorized collection of limited edition artworks adapted and reproduced from Theodor Seuss Geisel’s original drawings, paintings, and sculptures. The exhibit, on display at The Gardens Mall, will be setup at different locations around the mall. The Grand Court will host “Colliding-Collusions,” a collection of works from Seuss’ “Secret Art,” “Cat in the Hat,” and “Unorthodox Taxidermy.” Located throughout mall will be a collection of ten bronze sculptures from the “Bronze Tribute Collection.” Adding to the smaller statuettes will be six life-sized Dr. Seuss bronze sculptures, making the entirety of the mall a sculpture garden; Seuss characters will be presented in plain sight and hidden in alcoves, so keep those eyes peeled. On select dates, The Conservatory at Maltz Jupiter Theatre will perform excerpts from the Seuss-themed musical, Seussical, where a compendium of Dr. Seuss’ most beloved characters come to life as Horton protects his found Who’s and the Cat in the Hat meddles as always.

  • On January 17, The Gardens Mall will host a Grand Opening Reception from 6-8 p.m. in the Grand Court. Tickets to the preview party cost $35 per person and include refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds from the party will benefit the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
  • During “The Art of Dr. Seuss,” mall guests can catch Seuss Story Hour every Thursday at 10 a.m. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre will perform excerpts of Seussical on select weekends. Admission to “The Art of Dr. Seuss” is free and open to the public. For more information, visit  www.tgmartofdrseuss.com.
