Opera 101

Two of Palm Beach County’s most notable arts organizations are joining forces in hopes of sparking a love of opera in children. On July 10, the Palm Beach Opera will present an “Opera in Concert for Kids” at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., this one-hour, interactive concert will feature arias and ensemble numbers from composers including Mozart, Rossini and Puccini. Three singers and a pianist will perform memorable melodies and answer questions from the audience. Though the concert is designed for children ages 3 to 11, all are welcome to learn more about this classic art form. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call the Maltz Jupiter Theatre at 561-575-2223 or the Palm Beach Opera box office at 561-833-7888.
