SUMMARY:Sunday on the Waterfront featuring the Beach Buoys
DESCRIPTION:THE PALM BEACH POST SUNDAY ON THE WATERFRONT \nSunday\, June 16\, 2019 | Father’s Day \n4 – 7 p.m. | FREE | Meyer Amphitheatre\, 104 Datura St\, West Palm Beach\, FL 33401 \nThe Beach Buoys (Tribute to Buddy Holly\, The Beach Boys & The Beatles) | https://beachbuoyspro.com/ \n“The Beach Buoys” is a top-tier Beach Boys tribute show based out of Orlando\, Florida. The band is a seasoned group of musicians who have taken great effort to recreate the look\, sound and feel of a live Beach Boys Performance – circa 1965! This band will take concert goers back to the “good ole days” with their tributes to Buddy Holly\, The Beach Boys\, and The Beatles. “The Beach Buoys” are not just a cover band\, but instead an authentic tribute band – from their instruments of the 60s\, down to their identical striped shirts\, straight-legged slacks and boots. They reproduce the five-part vocal harmonies\, the choreographed moves and the energetic atmosphere of a live show. With the songs of these infamous singers spanning decades – and still being enjoyed to this day – this show is great for all ages! Grab your grandfather\, dad\, or someone special\, and join in the Father’s Day fun! \nGuests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to this outdoor event. For more information\, please visit Wpb.org/events or follow the City of West Palm Beach on Facebook @CityofWPB\, on Twitter @westpalmbch or on Instagram @westpalmbch.

SUMMARY:Screen on the Green: The Lego Movie (PG)
DESCRIPTION:Emmet (Chris Pratt)\, an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules\, is mistakenly identified as the Special — an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant’s (Will Ferrell) plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet\, he is hopelessly — and hilariously — unprepared for such a task\, but he’ll give it his all\, nonetheless. \nOutdoor movie watching has never been more inviting than on the West Palm Beach Waterfront. Monthly\, on the second Friday of the month\, the City of West Palm Beach turns the Great Lawn into an open-air theater – movie and included views of the stars and sea are both FREE. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and snuggle up for the featured films\, which include newly released hits and throwback favorites. The evening starts at 6 p.m. with family-friendly activities on the lawn and then continues with the movie at sunset. After hours\, please call 561-822-2222 for information on event cancellations.

SUMMARY:Sunday on the Waterfront: Adam Wakefield (Alternative Country/Southern Rock)
DESCRIPTION:THE PALM BEACH POST SUNDAY ON THE WATERFRONT\nSunday\, May 19\, 2019\n4 – 7 p.m. FREE | Meyer Amphitheatre\, 105 Evernia St\, West Palm Beach\, FL 33401\n“Adam Wakefield” (Alternative Country/Southern Rock) www.adamwakefieldmusic.com \nThink “New Hampshire” and let the images flow. Cozy inns. Fireplaces. Vivid colors of fall. Crisp\, clean air. Deep blue lakes. Adam Wakefield is known for vocals that jolt these lyrics to life with a unique immediacy and intensity. What makes Wakefield different? First\, it’s his varied roots: Memphis soul\, rock ’n’ roll\, New Orleans funk\, even jazz and classical\, pre-bro country — pretty much all music that speaks from the heart. \nA finalist during season 10 of The Voice\, Wakefield is that rare singer/songwriter who can bridge the personal and the universal\, who can sadly laugh and softly ache through an uncommonly poetic lyric and performance. Working independently\, Wakefield hit the top of the iTunes chart with “Lonesome\, Broken and Blue\,” the original song he performed during the season finale for The Voice. Now he is coming to the West Palm Beach waterfront to give the audience a show to remember. \nGuests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to this outdoor event.
