Palm Beach Police and Fire Foundation Holiday Drive-Thru Party

The foundation hosted a drive-thru holiday celebration for the families of members of the Palm Beach Police and Fire Rescue Departments on December 13.

In the spirit of giving and perseverance, the Palm Beach Police and Fire Foundation hosted a drive-thru holiday celebration for the families of members of the Palm Beach Police and Fire Rescue Departments on December 13.

The festive affair–hosted and co-sponsored by the Palm Beach Police & Fire Foundation, Moe Tarkinow, and Janet and Mark Levy–took place at the front entrance of St. Edward’s Church Parish Center Fellowship Hall in Palm Beach, which was transformed into a festive winter wonderland fantasy setting.

Santa Claus, helper elves, foundation board members, and Tarkinow were on hand to greet and wave to the families as they drove through. Each child received a wrapped gift, a $50 Visa gift card, and a boxed candy cane cupcake from The Pastry Studio.

“We had to think outside the ‘gift box’ and find a way to continue our annual holiday party tradition while observing public health guidelines,” said John F. Scarpa, chairman and co-founder of the Palm Beach Police Foundation. “Staging it as a drive-through enabled us to celebrate safely, and help make happy memories for these children and families during what has been a difficult and challenging year for us all.”
