The year is 2013.
The setting is the former Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton.
Act I
Marilynn Wick and her daughter, Kimberly, are looking for a new space to house their world-renowned collection of Broadway costumes. By choosing the former Caldwell Theatre, they also fulfill one of their lifelong dreams: to start a theater company.
[There will be a 10-minute intermission while the Wicks gut the theater, refurbish the lobby, design a Tavern on the Green-inspired restaurant, cast the shows with national and local talent and move more than one million costume pieces into the new museum space.]
Act II
Following a roughly $1.3 million renovation, the Wick Theatre produces a spectacular inaugural season of Broadway classics, including The Sound of Music, White Christmas, 42nd Street, The Full Monty, Steel Magnolias and Ain’t Misbehavin’.
Act III
After surviving and thriving in their first year, the Wicks are looking forward to the 2014-15 season with Swing!, Mame, La Cage aux Folles, Man of La Mancha, Oklahoma! and Dames at Sea and inviting many more visitors into their new and improved costume museum.
