Resource Depot will team up with aZul Fashion, Art & Design, Inc.—a local nonprofit that empowers adults with disabilities through fashion, art, and design as paths to achieving artistic recognition, dignity, and financial independence—for the second annual Make Fashion Circular Designer Challenge February 24, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The designers will be tasked with transforming tote bags using materials found at Resource Depot into one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces that will be for sale. All proceeds will benefit both nonprofit organizations. Learn about aZul’s designers here.
REfashion Weekend will continue February 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the Fill-a-Bag Shopping Spree, which encourages guests to fill a bag of secondhand clothing. Resource Depot will provide large, recycled bags for $25, which shoppers get to keep, along with all the clothing and accessories they can fit inside. For more information on all events, click here.
