Running for Good at Miles for a Mission 5K

The Junior League of the Palm Beaches will host the inaugural event at the Keiser University Flagship Campus in West Palm Beach November 19

The Junior League of the Palm Beaches will host the inaugural Miles for a Mission 5K and Kids Dash on November 19, at the Keiser University Flagship Campus in West Palm Beach. The 5K kicks off at 8 a.m. and the 100 Yard Kids Dash follows at 9 a.m.

Registration for the 5K is open and includes race t-shirts, finisher medals, post-race refreshments, and awards. Registration for the 5K is $40 and registration for the 100 Yard Kids Dash $10.

“Everyone is welcome at the Junior League of the Palm Beaches Miles for a Mission,” said Marcelle Griffith Burke, president of Junior League of the Palm Beaches. “Whether walking or running, this is an opportunity to come together and support the mission of the league raising critical funds so that we may continue our important work in the community.”

The Junior League of the Palm Beaches is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Proceeds from Miles for a Mission will fund various programs within the community, like the Period Supply Bank, which provides free menstrual products to individuals in need; Little Free Libraries near low-income families; and a Done in a Day program, which provides volunteer support for more than 20 local nonprofits.
