In case it wasn’t marked on your calendar, October is National Dessert Month and one of our favorites is tiramisù. Unsurprisingly, tiramisù translates to “cheer me up” in English. Chef Laurent Tourondel of Scusi Trattoria at PGA Commons is looking to bring smiles to diners’ faces with his interpretive version of this classic dessert dubbed the Scusiramisu.

In Tourondel’s Scusiramisu, the chef uses espresso speculoos cookies in place of the dessert’s traditional ladyfingers, and layers sliced bananas as the foundation for the quintessential cinnamon, condensed milk, and rich mascarpone filling. Topped with shaved hazelnut-infused chocolate, the Scusiramisu is proof you can buy happiness.
