The Palm Beach County Food Bank’s signature Empty Bowls Delray Beach event will return in its sixth year on Saturday, December 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trinity Delray Lutheran Church and School (400 N. Swinton Ave.). Supporters are welcome to stop by to enjoy a simple meal of soup, bread, and water per the organization’s theme to “eat simply, so others may simply eat.” Stephanie Dodge and Billy Himmelrich will chair this year’s event. Individual tickets are $30 and can be purchased here. Registration ends on December 3.

Old School Bakery will provide rustic bread and 30 local chefs will donate savory, signature soups, all served by local community leaders. Guests have the option to purchase tickets online and participate in an extraordinary drive-through or at an in-person dining experience.

The national grassroots event serves as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the community, and specifically, the one-in-six people in Palm Beach County that are food insecure. All money raised will support the food bank in its mission toward hunger relief.
