Spamalot at the Lake Worth Playhouse

Monty Python's Spamalot - Lake Worth PlayhouseFrom clopping coconuts and Trojan rabbits to “flesh wounds” and the Knights who say, “Ni,” Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of those hilariously absurd films that seems to get even funnier on subsequent viewings. The Monty Python clan has become so popular that the story was adapted into a Broadway musical, Spamalot. The 2005 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Spamalot follows the same arch of the film, following King Arthur and his band of knights in their search for the holy grail.

All the absurdity and good-natured fun will come to the Lake Worth Playhouse stage April 11-27, with a preview night scheduled for April 10. For all those “sons of silly persons” who can’t get enough rabble-rousing French soldiers and “just a little bit of peril,” we’re giving away five pairs of tickets to the upcoming production.

  • Showtimes: Thursday and Friday, 8 p.m.; Saturday, 2 and 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m.
  • Tickets cost $26-$30, $35 on opening night (which includes preshow Champagne and hors d’oeuvres).
  • Make a date out of it and purchase one of Lake Worth Playhouse’s dinner and show packages, which includes a ticket to the show and a three-course meal at one of these five local restaurants: South Shore Taverns ($50), Brogue’s Down Under ($55), Couco Pazzo ($55), Dave’s Last Resort ($55) or Paradiso Ristorante ($67).
