Stephanie Kantis | Design Maven
From upscale children’s furniture and accessories to fine jewelry, Stephanie Kantis has quickly made a name for herself in the world of design. The Palm Beach resident first took the design world by storm by almost singlehandedly changing the face of juvenile furnishings industry. With unique designs and upscale construction, Kantis’ furniture line became a staple of young, affluent parents looking for a little more in their children’s furnishings in the late ’90s and throughout the aughts. But her story doesn’t end there.
With the same verve she put into her furniure business, Kantis took to creating fine jewelry, which she affectionately refers to as “small sculptures.” Now, her line of statement-making jewelry pieces have become some of Neiman Marcus’ and Saks Fifth Avenue’s best-selling fashion jewelry collections.
When not designing, which usually consists of working small bronze sculptures into wearable art, Kantis can be found championing local nonprofit and educational organizations like Dreyfoos School of the Arts, the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club as well as advocating for environmental protection.
