Now that summer has officially arrived in South Florida, celebrate the sounds of the season with the City of Boca Raton’s Summer in the City series, a line-up of free tribute concerts hitting the Mizner Park Amphitheater stage now through August 4.

The series resumes June 30 with a performance by The Symphonia and Florida Atlantic University Summer Concert Band, two renowned bands joining forces to present nostalgic movie soundtrack favorites. On July 7, rock out at “Best of Both Worlds: A Tribute to the History of Van Halen. Fans of Prince will enjoy the best of the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s discography at “Purple Madness: A Tribute to Prince,” hitting the stage July 14. We Are Yacht Rock, featuring the best soft rock hits of the late 1970s and early 1980s keeps the party going July 21, while the Neil Diamond Tribute Show featuring Rob Garrett pays homage to the legendary singer-songwriter July 28.

The free Summer in the City series culminates with the third annual Battle of the Bands Competition August 4, kicking off at 6 p.m. Applications for the competition close July 10 and can be submitted here.

In addition to the free concerts, guests can enjoy a lineup of ticketed concerts by Brit Floyd (June 23), the Goo Goo Dolls with OAR (July 26), Jason Mraz (August 12), and Billy Currington (September 8).
