The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for Polo for a Purpose, scheduled for January 18 at the prestigious International Polo Club Palm Beach—3667 120th Ave. S., Wellington, from 2-4 p.m. The day begins at noon, with a cocktail reception in the pool area of the Club. After cocktails, guests will be treated to a gourmet luncheon and a silent auction as well as an exciting live auction.

Following lunch, the day continues with a professional four on four polo match featuring some of polo’s top players led by honorary chairman and lymphoma survivor, Brandon Phillips. For this part of the event the general public will participate in the fundraiser through the purchase of stadium tickets, tents, and catered tents whilst enjoying the match. This thrilling, world-class polo match will feature Brandon Phillips, Nic Roldan, Jeff Hall, Jeff Blake, Sugar Erskine, Chris Nevins, Carlitos Gracida Jr., and Martin Pepa. The polo match begins at 3 p.m.

The event, now in its third year, will be chaired by PJ Rizvi, Visse Wedell, and Penny Bradley. Last year’s luncheon was a sell out and raised $250,000 to aid LLS in its mission to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, as well as improving the quality of life of their patients and their families.
