Ikebana, or flower arranging, is a traditional Japanese art form spanning centuries. Ikebana has different schools of study, each with distinguishing philosophies and aesthetics. The Ikenobo School, which dates back to the 15th century, is the oldest and most traditional form. Students learn basic principles and styles of Ikenobo and create fresh floral arrangements each week to bring home. Intermediate courses are for students with prior experience or have taken at least three sessions of Ikebana classes.
