One of the largest markets in the region\, the GreenMarket features a variety of products\, including fresh produce\, exotic plants and flowers\, herbs and spices\, baked goods\, gourmet and specialty foods\, coffee and teas\, and much more. The GreenMarket also features live music\, unlimited mimosas for $10\, free activities for kids\, plus plentiful green space and seating for a morning of fun and relaxation. This Saturday morning ritual in downtown West Palm Beach is the place to see and be seen! The GreenMarket is dog-friendly and always FREE. \nParking is available in two City garages; both just blocks from the waterfront. Parking is free in the Evernia/Olive garage during market hours and for a flat fee of $5 in the Banyan/Olive garage before 1 p.m. Those interested in arriving by boat can also take advantage of the City’s free public docks. Locals and visitors are also encouraged to arrive the sustainable way – on the City’s free and fun trolley. The incredibly popular transport system cuts down on CO2 emissions by eliminating car trips and has several routes with stops near the GreenMarket. In addition\, those wishing to ride their bikes downtown can utilize the complimentary bicycle valet located next to Rocco’s Tacos on the 200 block of Clematis Street. DESCRIPTION:SUMMER IN PARADISE (SIP KICKOFF) Thursday\, June 6 from 6 – 10 p.m.\nThe City of West Palm Beach may be occasionally iCONE-ic when dotted with construction or traffic cones\, but our City is always iconic especially along its award-winning Clematis Street corridor. Visitors to the West Palm Beach waterfront can expect to see the fun spin on the word “iconic” throughout downtown during this year’s Summer in Paradise (SIP) campaign. The fifth annual campaign\, which encourages visitors to take a ‘SIP’ of fun and free activities\, will have a construction theme to embrace Phase II of the Clematis Streetscape project\, which aims to create wider sidewalks with more shade trees to create a more pedestrian-friendly environment on our City’s most iconic street. Phase II improvements are scheduled to break ground on the 100 and 200 blocks of Clematis Street in mid-May\, and Summer in Paradise programming runs from Thursday\, June 6 – Thursday\, August 1. \nWhile the iconic orange traffic cone will signal road work ahead\, it will also be a key image in the City’s branding and Summer in Paradise activations. Each activation plays on the word cone and activities include: \nCone-y Island | Open daily from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.\, June 6 – August 1 on the Great Lawn\nA summer-long maze created by nationally recognized prop master\, Frank Navarette\, will be configured out of construction materials with interactive play zones\, shade areas and water misters on the Great Lawn. \nCone Checkers | 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily and during special event hours through August 1\nCome play checkers on a giant checker board with cones converted into checker pieces. \nCone in the Zone | Mondays – Sundays from June 9 – July 31\nThe Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach is hosting a fun\, summer twist on ‘Elf on the Shelf’ inspired activation. The public is encouraged to come in and search the stacks to locate Mr. Coney McConerson\, the Library’s decorated mini orange construction cone\, who will be hiding in the Library all summer long. This show will take visitors on a musical journey from the acoustic opening act of Richie Havens through the closing moments with the explosive\, electric sounds of Jimi Hendrix. Also featured are songs from Crosby\, Stills\, and Nash\, The Who\, Janis Joplin\, Sly and the Family Stone\, Joe Cocker\, Arlo Guthrie\, Country Joe McDonald\, Santana\, and others. Vocally and instrumentally recreating the fun\, party atmosphere of the Woodstock experience\, Peace of Woodstock will excite and bring back the greatest memories of this life-changing event. DESCRIPTION:Festivities start at 6 p.m.Save the date for the City of West Palm Beach’s annual holiday tree lighting! After nearly a month-long preparation\, “Sandi\,” the world’s only 700-ton sand tree will be ready to make her debut. The 35-foot star of the City’s annual Holiday in Paradise campaign will bring merriment and cheer through December 31\, including nightly light shows and a cast of supporting characters. Returning characters and activities this year include Duke\, a “Great Dane for a Great Dame” who made his big debut last year\, “Glow FORE it Mini Golf\,” “SnowieVille\,” “Reindeer Games Trivia\,” and Sandi’s dressing room. \nAs with every year\, Sandi’s story will unfold a little bit more this season. Be sure to “note” your calendar to hear more about Sandi’s travels and watch her light up West Palm Beach! New this year\, Sandi will return to the waterfront with a talented\, new friend\, Merry the Mermaid\, whose melodies will captivate all this holiday season. \nEntertainment lineup for 11/29: \n· Generation Gap (a cappella): four guys and one doll\, who harmonize hits from yesterday\n· Jerry Wayne’s Private Party Band Jerry Wayne’s Private Party Band is a high energy and interactive band.
