“Birth of Photography” at the Norton
Beginning May 17, the Norton Museum of art will host “William Henry Fox Talbot and the Birth of Photography.” Talbot pioneered the use of negatives to print images, and this exhibition was spurred by the acquisition of one of his “photographic drawings” that illustrate this groundbreaking technique. The New Norton Opening
The new Norton Museum of Art is finally here. A massive expansion project has resulted in a reinvented entrance on South Dixie Highway, 35 percent more gallery space, and new gardens, classrooms, an auditorium, a restaurant, a store, and more.
