Boca Raton residents will join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s on the event’s new date Sunday, November 15, beginning at 9 a.m. The annual walk was postponed due to the tropical storm conditions forecasted for Sunday, November 7.

The day’s events will include a livestream Opening Ceremony, the walk beginning at 9:15 a.m., and a drive-through Promise Garden. Funds raised will support the care, support, and research programs that the Alzheimer’s Association provides to families across Florida.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s walk will take place on sidewalks, tracks, and trails around Boca Raton. Participants can walk as individually, with their families, or organize small teams.

On walk day, an Opening Ceremony broadcast will feature local speakers and a presentation of Promise Flowers to honor the personal reasons participants join together to fight Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. A Promise Garden (Boca Raton Regional Hospital at 800 Meadows Road, Boca Raton, FL 33486) to honor all those impacted by Alzheimer’s will be created and will be available to view in a drive-through format on November 8.
