Wild & Scenic Film Festival Goes Virtual

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum will screen 11 environmentally focused films during the event's seventh iteration on April 10

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum will host its quintessential Wild & Scenic Film Festival for its seventh iteration on Saturday, April 10. To This year’s festival honors the theme “Resilient by Nature” in honor of Earth Month and as a reminder of human resilience, strength, and talent in the face of adversity and our “ability to innovate and inspire positive change.”

To adhere to COVID-19 protocols, the film festival will go virtual for viewers across South Florida to enjoy safely. The festival will bring 11 environmentally-minded, adventure-filled films right to viewers’ living rooms. This year’s titles include: Flotsam, Biodynamic Agriculture: Farming in the Service of Life, Disappearing Penguins, The Church Forests of Ethiopia, Pedal Through, Matagi Mālohi: Strong Winds, Pathfinder: Life Beyond Fear, Immolation, Water Flows Together, From Kurils with Love, and Resilience is in Our Nature.

Viewers can purchase tickets to tune in to the festival from any smart TV or smart device. The event’s “Lobby Time and Chat” will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the screening of the films begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and include access to the virtual festival, featuring special guest hosts, kids’ activities, a chat room, an event program, door prize entry, and more. Viewers are invited to enjoy take-out or delivery food options from Tommy Bahama Restaurant in Jupiter, the festival’s local restaurant partner.
