The ninth annual Witches of Delray charity bike ride to benefit Achievement Centers for Children & Families in Delray Beach looks a little different this year. In lieu of a group bike ride, the Witches of Delray will hold various opportunities to “get wicked” both in person and virtually throughout Downtown Delray Beach throughout October.
Participants will receive access to live and virtual experiences, like the month-long Witches Quiz Ride and Witches Plates & Potions Game, as well as contests like Best Virtual Cackle and Best Decorated Hat for a $20 donation. Participants will receive the “spell” to unlock all the “Ways to be Wicked with the Witches of Delray” via a private Facebook page after they sign up here. There will also be a chance to win a new bike at the Witches Brew event at Tim Finnegan’s on Friday, October 23. Tables for groups of four or six can be reserved ($30 per set) for the evening to maintain social distancing and each table will receive one drink per person and two appetizers per table. The Witches Brew will be held at Tim Finnegan’s with a special appearance by John Brewer of the Delray Beach Socially Distance Supper Club and a chance to win a new bike. Tables can be reserved here.
Witches Quiz Ride, October 5 to 30
Witches take flight on bikes (or walk) around Delray Beach to answer all of the Witchy Quiz Questions posted around town. Participants will be entered to win a Wonderfully Witchy gift basket.
Potions & Plates Game, October 5 to 30
Missing that ‘Witch, Please’ cocktail? Witches of Delray partnered with local restaurants to create the Potions & Plates game. Whoever visits the most participating restaurants and posts proof of purchase on the private Facebook page will win a prize basket of restaurant gift cards, wine, and more!
Virtual Awards Celebration, November 2, 7 to 8 p.m.
