Alexis Cole
Jazz vocalist Alexis Cole will perform at Arts Garage in Delray Beach on Friday, August 23. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Cole spent seven years in the Army’s Big Band. In the years since, she’s sung at a variety of impressive venues, including Carnegie Hall. During her Arts Garage set, which begins at 8 p.m., Cole will perform jazz standards as well as a few surprises.

Singer Chris Thomas will bring his “Sinatra to Soul” tour to Arts Garage in Delray Beach Saturday, August 31. Beginning at 8 p.m., Thomas and his eight-piece band will perform music by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Bobby Darrin, as well as contemporary crooners such as Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Bublé. He’ll round out the “soul” experience with hits from James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and The Temptations, to name a few. Tickets cost $35-$45.

Emily Asher’s Garden Party
Emily Asher’s Garden Party will perform at Arts Garage in Delray Beach Saturday, November 9. Although born in Seattle and based in New York City, Asher has a passion for New Orleans brass bands. The spirit of that musical tradition is alive and well in her group, which consists of her on trombone and lead vocals, backed by seasoned musicians on trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, upright bass, guitar, drums, and piano.

Yamit and the Vinyl Blvd
Arts Garage welcomes Miami jazz sensation Yamit and the Vinyl Blvd Saturday, January 18. Known for putting a sophisticated touch on an extensive repertoire of classic jazz styles, the ensemble’s lush sounds will transport audiences to a different era.
