Grandparents Day at the Flagler
The Flagler Museum in Palm Beach will host its annual Grandparents Day on September 9. From 3 to 5 p.m., visitors can create family trees, take a family photo in front of Flagler’s railcar, and commemorate the day by crafting a scrapbook page. The activities are free with regular museum admission.

Book talk and reception for “Florida Made: The 25 Most Important Figures Who Shaped the State”

The Alliance’s 9th Annual Valentine’s Treats & Sweets
The 9th Annual Valentine’s Treats & Sweets brings together a community of more than 100 Palm Beach women who revel in their joy of baking. Mothers, daughters and many friends fire up their ovens to produce a spectacular showcase of more than 40,000 delectable cookies, chocolates and “extreme desserts” all to support the Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness. Guests are encouraged to sample and take home treats to enjoy after the event.

Bluegrass in the Pavilion
The Flagler Museum in Palm Beach hosts its annual Bluegrass in the Pavilion concert April 6. Beginning at 3 p.m., two groups—Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper—will bring this quintessentially American genre of music to life in the Flagler’s Kenan Pavilion. Grandparents Day at the Flagler

From 3 to 5 p.m., visitors are encouraged to tour Whitehall with an activity guide for kids and then visit the Flagler Kenan Pavilion for family-friendly activities, including creating a family tree, writing postcards, making a scrapbook page, and taking a photo in Henry Flagler’s Railcar No. 91. All Grandparents Day activities are included in regular museum admission.

The Ying Quartet
The Flagler Museum continues its chamber music tradition in its 2020 Music Series celebrating the “Best of the Best,” with visits by standout performers from seasons past. The Ying Quartet, who debuted at the Flagler Museum in 2011, will captivate audiences with exhilarating string compositions on Tuesday, January 14.
