This ongoing online support group, facilitated by Alpert JFS Director of Domestic Abuse Sara Walsh, LCSW, will meet every Thursday evening, at 5:00 p.m., starting on August 13, 2020 (with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve). In this safe space, you'll learn about abuse, power/control, how to identify unhealthy relationships, recognize the characteristics of an abuser, and red flags, as well as set boundaries, increase self-esteem, and practice self-care. This free virtual workshop, for individuals with a developmental disability, their parents, siblings, and/or caregivers, from the Melvin J. & Claire Levine LifePlanning® program, will feature Jacqueline Wood, M.S., Ed., Clinical Support Specialist at Florida Atlantic University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (FAU CARD).
