Ballet Palm Beach will launch its landmark Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Season with its world premiere of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein at the Rinker Playhouse in West Palm Beach October 22–24. The spellbinding work showcases the original monster-hit gothic masterpiece through electrifying choreography and storytelling, set to a haunting score.
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein opens in the summer of 1816 at the Villa Diodati in Switzerland where an 18-year-old Mary Shelley accepts a challenge to write the ultimate ghost story. From the depths of her own grief and vivid nightmares, the tragic tale of Victor Frankenstein and his abandoned creation come to life on stage. The production explores the thin line between creator and monster, blending historical biography with psychological horror.
Performances will take place October 22 at 7:30 p.m.; October 23 at 7:30 p.m.; and October 24 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets start at $45 and are on sale at kravis.org or at the Kravis Center Box Office. For more information, visit balletpalmbeach.org.
