Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties

Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties‘ third annual Founder’s Award Luncheon will be held May 16 at the Kravis Center’s Eunice and Julian Cohen Pavilion from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The highlight of the afternoon will be a special presentation of the Founder’s Award honoring the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund established by Mary and Robert Pew in 1998. The Pew Fund has awarded over $25 million in grants to improve public education for economically disadvantaged children in Palm Beach and Martin Counties, largely focused on innovative literacy, STEM and leadership development programs. Keynote speaker and School District of Palm Beach County Superintendent Dr. Robert Avossa will discuss the importance of private philanthropy in public education and preparing students for a successful future. The afternoon will also recognize the 2015-16 competitive grant recipients and announce the grand total raised in 24 hours during Great Give 2016.
