Clematis Social – A New, Elevated Nightlife Experience in Downtown WPB

West Palm Beach- Cleve Mash, the visionary behind some of the most successful and longest running nightlife ventures in South Florida, is counting the days until the grand opening of Clematis Social – a new, elevated nightlife experience that matches the sophisticated energy of its downtown surroundings. And, he’s bringing Grammy award-winning dj, Cedric Gervais, to help commence the party.

For the past 24 years, the nightclub mastermind – and his business partner/brother Michael Mash III, has strategically progressed the establishment, located at 219 Clematis Street, from Monkey Club, to Dr. Feelgoods, to Pawn Shop, and now, Clematis Social. The forward-thinking businessman is no stranger to successfully paving the way for the industry. Over the years he continuously evolved the club, keeping it relevant and a representation of what the people want.

“To be successful in this business, you have to evolve,” he shares. “The city has done an amazing job of adding attractive new hotels, restaurants, condos and apartments that are filled with people of all ages craving a nightlife scene. We saw the evolutions happening and rebranded accordingly. We have always been everybody’s bar every day and are excited for this next chapter.”

Characteristically, Mash used the six-month hiatus of the pandemic to reevaluate the future of Clematis Street. He anticipated what life after the pandemic would look like and, at a time when most establishments were quiet, his creativity was in overdrive. His team took that “downtime” to get busy with renovations and a plan to reinvent the space.

The aesthetic transformation is inspired by Mash’s time spent in the Miami Design District and Wynwood. Clematis Social will don a three-story floral mural painted by renowned street artist Amanda Valdez. Inside, her vibrant murals illuminate under the fresh new lighting, laser show and Co2 jet cooling system. Guest will soon enjoy new stylish decor including redesigned bars and a variety of seating areas for guest to choose. Sip on a sexy cocktail while competing over ping pong, or on the librarian style pool table and mega sized chess boards designed for added entertainment.

Those who will come to dance are going to vibe to the sounds of South Florida’s best guest DJs every night and love the cages suspended above the dance floor. The sound system Clematis Social boasts is powerful enough for a high-wattage performance from worldwide music phemon DJ Cedric Gervais.

The French DJ, who has a residency at LIV in Miami, is known for his progressive electro-house tech beats and his Grammy Award winning remix of Lana del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness”. Gervais, whose remixes have over a billion plays, will breathe the electric beats into the party during the official grand opening on May 28th. Table reservations for this event will be available on a first come first served basis.

The club will be open Thursday and Sunday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Dress code is club chic and strictly enforced.
