Rob Thomson Honored for Philanthropic Commitment

Lifelong Jupiter resident, Palm Beach County Realtor, and owner of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities Rob Thomson was awarded the Extraordinary Philanthropy Award by Luxury Real Estate on September 20. This honor, presented during the Twenty-Sixth Annual Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation in Park City, Utah, recognizes Thomson’s leadership and dedication to social causes.

Thomson is deeply committed to making a positive impact within the community. His nomination highlighted philanthropic efforts, including:

  • Providing more than $100,000 in financial support for Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee, including underwriting adoption fees for first responders.
  • Contributing $50,000 to the construction of Big Dog Ranch Rescue’s Senior Sanctuary, which ensures comfortable lives for senior dogs.
  • His nomination to serve on the Hanley Foundation Board for his $100,000 contribution to rehabilitation scholarships for youths struggling with addiction.
  • Donating bicycles, toys, and Easter baskets to underserved children through Charities for Children.
  • Leading fundraising campaigns and matching donations dollar-for-dollar to provide ADA-compliant school buses for Jupiter High School and Dwyer High School.
  • Funding two state-of-the-art workout facilities for the Juno Beach and Tequesta Police Departments, and receiving the Community Partnership Award from the Juno Beach Police Department in recognition of his support.
  • Contributing $25,000 to the Jupiter Medical Center, with a commitment to contribute an additional $75,000 over the following three years, enabling the center to enhance its services and reach more individuals in need.

This recognition followed Thomson’s receiving of the 2023 Humanitarian of the Year award by the Florida Association of Realtors, presented during the 2023 Florida Realtors Convention & Trade Expo at The Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando on August 17.
