The City of Westlake will host the Third Annual Westlake 5K Remembering 9/11, presented in support of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, on September 12. The race will take place at the greenspace just north of the corner of Persimmon Boulevard and Ilex Way. The race begins at 7:30 a.m.
The Westlake 5K Remembering 9/11 brings residents and participants together not just for a physical challenge, but for a meaningful morning of remembrance, as the community honors those lost on September 11, 2001. The event welcomes runners, walkers, and residents of every pace and ability.
Every registered participant will receive a race bib equipped with an RFID timing chip for accurate results, an official event shirt, and a finisher medal. Awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers as well as winners across various age groups.
