The sixth annual Taste of Recovery will take place November 2, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the American German Club in Lake Worth Beach. Attendees will sample bites from some of the county’s top restaurants, including Louie Bossi’s, City Cellar, City Oyster, Rocco’s Tacos, J & J’s Seafood Bar and Grill, and Little Moir’s Catering, among others. Participating restaurants will be vying for the People’s Choice Award (with a prize of $1,500) and the Critic’s Choice Award (with a prize of $2,000 for first place and $1,500 for second place). Proceeds benefit The Crossroads Club, a Delray Beach–based nonprofit that provides a free safe haven to anyone whose life has been adversely affected by, or through, the use of addictive substances. Tickets are $60 in advance or $75 at the door. Purchase tickets here.
