A Mexican eatery and speakeasy in one? Yes, please! That’s what’s in store for diners and revelers at the new Bodega Taqueria y Tequila in West Palm Beach.

The fourth location of the popular concept born in South Beach, Bodega West Palm is in the center of all the downtown action in the city’s Waterfront Commons area. This outpost is the brand’s largest to date, and the added space translates to three unique ways to experience Bodega based on your mood, hunger level, and desire to drink.

For something fast-casual, order at the Taco Shack counter and grab a seat. The taco selection is vast and varied, but you can’t go wrong with the classic taco de birria, grilled fish with pickled purple cabbage, or vegetarian avocado. Unique standouts include a fried grouper taco with potato sticks and a tequila-marinated grilled shrimp taco. The menu also spans nachos, quesadillas, bowls, and burritos—and don’t skimp on the house-made hot sauce either.

For something a little more languid, relax in the lounge, which offers Bodega’s full food and cocktail menu. There’s also a daily happy hour from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring food specials (think $3 clasico tacos), $4-$5 shots, $5 draft beers, and $7 wines, well drinks, and classic cocktails. If you’re with a group, opt for the Fiesta Tower ($65), which feeds four and is decked out with elote, yuca fritas, a quesadilla with rajas, nachos, chili queso, salsa ranchera, and guacamole.

The entire second level is devoted to a speakeasy inspired by historic Mexican haciendas. Here you’ll find ample tequila and mezcal offerings, including specialty cocktails such as the Bodega Old Fashioned, Mexican Martini, and Carajillo with Casamigos Reposado, Licor 43, and cold brew concentrate.
