December 5: Sandi Returns

The City of West Palm Beach will celebrate the return of Sandi, its 700-ton holiday sand tree, at a special Clematis by Night on Thursday, December 5. The evening’s festivities will begin at 6 p.m. on the waterfront’s great lawn and are free to attend. Sandi will perform her nightly yuletide jingles and light shows through New Year’s Eve. December 6: Ordinary Americans

Palm Beach Dramaworks will mount the world premiere of Ordinary Americans by Joseph McDonough December 6 to January 5. Set in the 1950s, the play follows Gertrude Berg and Philip Loeb, stars of the television show The Goldbergs, as they tackle issues of anti-Semitism, McCarthyism, and censorship. Tickets are $77. December 8: Palm Beach Symphony

The Palm Beach Symphony will kick off its 2019-2020 Masterworks Concert series on Sunday, December 8 at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. The “Canopy of Stars” program will begin at 3 p.m. and celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday with two compositions by the famed German composer, including Piano Concert No. 4 and Symphony No. 9.
