The Palm Beach County Food Bank’s second annual Empty Bowls in the Gardens will head to Downtown Palm Beach Gardens on September 30. Empty Bowls in the Gardens invites supporters to “eat simply so others may simply eat.”
Attendees will enjoy a simple meal of soup from local restaurants, freshly baked goods, bottled water, and an empty ceramic bowl to signify the many bowls in Palm Beach County that need filling. Participating restaurants include Avocado Cantina, Café Chardonnay, Old School Bakery, Pero Family Farms & Produce, Laura Ashley Catering & Events, Lili’s Café, Brick & Barrel Pub, Carmine’s La Trattoria, The Breakers, The Jupiter Grill, and more.
The Palm Beach County Food Bank procures food from grocery stores, farmers, food distributors, wholesalers, and other sources for its 200 local community partners, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and residential housing programs, ensuring that more than 132,000 individuals have access to food.
Leading up to the event, supporters can let out their inner artists throughout Paint & Play days hosted by Downtown Palm Beach Gardens. After purchasing an Empty Bowls in the Gardens ticket, guests can head to Craft Haus to paint ceramic bowls for the event. Ticket holders can paint a bowl through September 25, or until supplies last. Afterward, bowls will be donated to the Second Annual Empty Bowls in the Gardens.
This year, the food bank is offering VIP admission, where attendees will have an elevated experience with alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages and gourmet appetizers courtesy of Sandy James Fine Food & Productions. This fun and wholesome event will feature live music, raffles, family-friendly carousel rides, and a ceramic bowl to take home provided by ShopCore Properties.
General tickets are $35 and VIP admission is $60, with all of the proceeds benefiting the food bank. For more information, visit pbcfoodbank.org.
