Explore the storied history of Boca Raton’s beloved beaches in the Boca Raton Historical Society and the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum’s latest exhibition, “Life’s a Beach,” on view September 9 to February 27. Through a curated collection of photomurals, vintage swimwear, and historic memorabilia, visitors will learn how Boca’s coast has shaped its culture, lifestyle, and status as one of the Sunshine State’s foremost resort communities.

“Life’s a Beach” traces the evolution of Boca’s beaches from the expansive, undeveloped shoreline of the 1890s to the vibrant coastal destination we love today. Key historical moments include the establishment of oceanfront parks along Palmetto Park Road and the glamour of destinations like the Cabana Club. The exhibition will be open to tour Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is included with museum admission.
