Feliz Green knows the value of a positive attitude. As the head pastry chef of Lingonberry, Green infuses not only her Filipino heritage and years of culinary experience into the food she makes, but her sunny disposition too. “You can’t be sad and making something,” she says.

Although Green started out as a savory chef, she has found success in the world of pastry. While still living in the Philippines, she launched BakedbyFeliz and gained a loyal following for her cinnamon rolls in particular. Now, within her role at Lingonberry—which operates two locations in Palm Beach Gardens—she’s known for her inventive pastries and killer sourdough bread.

“I really pay attention to the health of my sourdough,” says Green. “I smell it. I taste it. I touch it.”

Her bread forms the base of Lingonberry’s sandwiches, including the popular Bomb BLT with glazed bacon. She also experiments with unique flavors, like jalapeño and cheddar, wild mushroom and Manchego, and cheddar and ube, a popular Filipino ingredient that is always incorporated into at least one of her bakes.

What should a Lingonberry first-timer try? Green recommends the BLT, banana bread, tiramisu, croissants (available Friday through Sunday), and her classic cinnamon rolls (Sunday only). Or, for the ultimate social media fodder, order a strawberry iced matcha and Green’s Dubai pistachio brownie, inspired by the viral Dubai chocolate bar.
