With August designated as National Golf Month, toast the sport’s legacy and influence on and off the course with The Daly Dose at The House, the restaurant at The Park golf course in West Palm Beach. Perfect for before or after your round, this refreshing twist on the classic John Daly cocktail is made with vodka, Earl Grey tea, and lemon juice, served with a golf ball–shaped ice sphere. Even better, proceeds benefit The Path, a community outreach program that aims to support underserved youth through golf and education.

The Daly Dose

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. Tito’s Handmade Vodka
  • 1 oz. Earl Grey–infused simple syrup (recipe below)
  • 1 oz. fresh pressed lemon juice
  • Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into an old-fashioned glass over a golf ball–shaped
    ice sphere.

Earl Grey–Infused Simple Syrup Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract (optional)

Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Remove the pot from the heat and add the Earl Grey tea bags. Let them steep for 5 minutes. Return the pot to the stovetop over medium-low heat. Bring the tea to a simmer. Add the sugar and stir until it is completely dissolved (about 2 minutes). Remove the syrup from the heat and allow it to cool completely. If using, add vanilla extract after cooling. Pour the syrup into a clean airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
