GL Homes Named Business of the Year by The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches

The company received the distinction for its economic impacts and commitment to community involvement in Palm Beach County

GL Homes was named 2020 Business of the Year at The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches’s recent virtual awards program. The Business of the Year award is presented annually to the company that demonstrates an outstanding economic impact on Palm Beach County and a commitment to community involvement.

“GL Homes is a national leader in the housing industry and has helped shape the landscape of Palm Beach County.  Under the guidance of its impressive leadership, GL Homes has provided philanthropic and community support at the highest level in South Florida.  They are a perfect example that all businesses should emulate,” said Dennis Grady, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.

The Chamber recognized GL Homes’ multiple community projects including:

  • Constructing Home at Tamarind, a six-unit apartment complex in West Palm Beach for developmentally disabled adults of Gulfstream Goodwill who are were homeless or at-risk. The project opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony with United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Ben Carson.
  • A $40,000 donation to Feeding South Florida, which helped the organization provide nearly 300,000 meals to 15,000 people at four feeding distribution sites in Palm Beach County.
  • Continued support for The Lord’s Place, which for over 40 years has transformed lives by providing solutions that break the cycle of homelessness for the most vulnerable and neglected in Palm Beach County.
  • Ongoing assistance for The Senator Philip D. Lewis Center Homeless Resource Center including company employees serving meals to the homeless.
