In honor of Women’s History Month, The Square in West Palm Beach is hosting a lineup of free community events to honor and uplift women trailblazers. Throughout the month, The Square will pulsate with a vibrant array of activities, including workshops, fitness sessions, and musical performances, all curated and led by the diverse and dynamic women of the neighborhood.
This weekend, drop by on March 8, from 6 to 10 p.m., for live music featuring female artists and bands, a Felice Bar pop-up, and female-owned business such as Selphf and Flowers from Judith. On March 9, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., for the return of District Fit, West Palm’s largest fitness festival, with majority women-led classes. Emmy Award-winning writer Leslie Anne Frye-Thomas will lead a Self-Publishing Workshop on March 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Later in the month, tune in for Monthly Jazz Sessions featuring Nikki Kidd, voted Miami New Times’ “Best Jazz Act” and Legacy Magazine‘s “40 Under 40,” on March 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. Get creative at an Armory Art Center Workshop led by a female artist on March 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. The month rounds out with a Flower Flash and Floral Workshop with Lewis Miller on March 22.
